Name: Mouli
City: South Riding, VA
Other activities: Biking and Tennis
When did you first start running: In May 2008 after I was
motivated by my friend to sign up for Virginia Beach Rock-n-Roll Half Marathon.
Goals for 2008:
Run longer and stronger to finish my first Half Marathon.
Goals for 2009: To
run faster, more efficiently and injury free. I would like to finish a Half Marathon in top-10 percentile and break
20 minutes in a 5K.
Thoughts on having a coach: A
few weeks after finishing the Baltimore Half, I got injured on a training run. I was diagnosed with tendonitis on my
left ankle and had to lay off from running for more than 3 months. I then realized I need a coach to train me to run
more efficiently and injury-free. His training program and nutritional plan have helped me to recover from my injury,
as well as improving my pace, recovery between workouts, and physical strength. In less than 3 months of training with
DC Running Coach, I improved my Half Marathon PR by 15 minutes and came in the top-10 percentile overall.
What
helps motivate you to train/exercise: Training and regular exercise
keeps me more focused and reminds me of my goals, and it also helps me feel more energized every day.
